Centrifugal Deburring
We use Harperizer and Mass finishing centrifugal deburring machines. They each have 3/4 cubic foot buckets that rotate at very high speeds. This creates a "tornado" of metal parts and abrasive media. The parts being processed are continually engulfed in media during the process, producing an aggressive, yet gentle action.
The abrasive deburring media used in this process is available in various geometric shapes & sizes, several grades from fast cut to fine finish; and are generally made of plastic, ceramic or steel. The deburring media is tumbled with the metal parts in either a wet or dry process, depending on the application.
This process is used for deburring and fine finishing of components in ultra short time, which cannot be finished in vibratory finishing machines, rotary barrel or by any other conventional method. Critical applications like descaling and fine finishing of all types of small and delicate ferrous/non-ferrous components can be effectively deburred and polished in the centrifugal finishing machines.
